Education beyond boundaries :: Distance Learning Degrees
Administration
European-American
University was founded and is directed by the Society for Humanistic
Potential (SHP), a religious society of the Liberal Catholic Apostolic Church whose philosophy honors
lifelong learning as a key aspect of the holistic development of the
individual. In its day-to-day administration, the University is
administered by an Executive Council acting on behalf of the Board of
Directors which is empowered to take decisions at the highest level. The Executive Council meets regularly through face-to-face contact as well as liaising via electronic communications. The Executive Council approves each recommendation for a degree award and is also involved in processes of institutional and agency interface, program approval and review, and student welfare. The chairperson of the Executive Council is the University President.
The Academic Board is the academic conduit of the University subordinate to Executive Council. It consists of representatives of Executive Council and of the University's faculty and administration. In addition, each affiliated organization, including the University's International Partners, nominates one representative of their organization to the Board. Due to the widespread location of its members, the Academic Board generally convenes through electronic communications.

EAU and sustainability
A major advantage to EAU's diversified, internet-based mode of operation is its benefits in terms of sustainability and the environment. Educational institutions that are tied to a campus and substantial offices cannot help but exert a heavy toll on the planet, even when at their most efficient. By contrast, EAU has minimal environmental impact.
Divisions of European-American University
All educational programs are conducted, and academic awards conferred, by European-American University itself.
EAU's service division is EAU Educational Services (EAUES), which is established to provide administrative and agency services to EAU.
European-American University Quality Assurance Division (EAUQAD) is the specialist division of the University established with responsibilities for quality assurance.
