Dr Geert Franzenburg

Dr. Geert Franzenburg is widely published in the area of spiritually-directed education. His books and monographs include "Pädagogik der Erlösung" (Stuttgart, 2000), "Man lernt nur mit dem Herzen gut" (Münster, 2003), "Izglitiba – Bildung (with D. Berrntzen)" (Münster, 2004), "I will praise the Lord, who counsels me" (Münster, 2008). He has also published many articles in philosophical and spiritual journals. With a master's degree from the University of Kaiserslautern and graduate study in educational supervision and counselling from the University of Bremen, he has taught at the University of Münster and at universities in Latvia on state-accredited modular teacher training programs, and also holds the graduate diploma in archive science from the Univ/Fachhochschule Potsdam. He is a specialist in quality management for education (EBW).
He is founder and organizer of the German-Latvian network DRAUDZIBA (www.draudziba.de), and since 2008 is second chairman of the Latvian Center Münster (LCM/Trimda-Forum). Since his ordination in 1992 he has served as pastor for adult education in the church district of Münster.
