Dr Jaimie Lee-Barron

Dr. Jaimie Lee-Barron is President of the Institute of Martial Arts and Sciences in the UK. He is a former military advisor and police consultant who has worked with the security forces of several countries. As an educator he has significant experience in supervising and examining programs at undergraduate and graduate levels in the martial arts, and has worked both in publically-funded and private training provision.

Since 2000 he has been Academic Advisor/Senior Tutor to Nomad Training, where he has been responsible for the supervision of a team of tutors, including their Continued Professional Development, and for the research, design, delivery and quality assurance of several training programmes accredited by ASET from the Entry Level up to Level 4. Part of this provision takes place in the UK Prison/Probation Service and is geared toward providing inmates/ex-offenders with useful certificated learning that can help them into employment and/or further education.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the Institute for Learning, the Society of Martial Arts Practitioners and the Institute for Personal Safety, and a Member of the Royal Society of Health, alongside many other professional affiliations and memberships.
