David was educated at the City of London School and was a chorister at the Chapel Royal and St Paul’s Cathedral. He is currently a bass in a Welsh male voice choir. He attended Reading University where he specialised in food technology, and undertook postgraduate studies the IMEDE Business School, Lausanne, Switzerland. He was an executive with the Nestle Group for a number of years before establishing his own company that developed and marketed flavours and essences. He is the hereditary Baron of Lismayne, Kilkenny, Eire. His academic specialisation is in business and management.
