Cancellation/Refund
Policy
In principle, European-American University does not offer refunds once the student has enrolled on a program save on exceptional compassionate grounds which will require significant evidence in support. Please ensure that you are fully committed to the program before enrolling. We do not offer refunds for those who have simply changed their mind for whatever reason.
However, the University has implemented special arrangements for students from the European Union only. In conformity with European Union law, this allows EU students who decide to withdraw within seven days of the payment of the first instalment of fees to receive a refund. Requests to withdraw must be submitted to the University's administration (not mentors) in writing (by email or using the contact form and providing verifiable information) and reasonable administrative and/or banking fees incurred in the admission and refund process will be debited from the refund amount balance. The University reserves the right to issue refunds through its choice of means of monetary transfer solely, and may do so via third party contractors or agents. Refunds will normally be issued within 30 days of receipt of notification.
These arrangements apply to students from the European Union only and do not apply to students from other countries. There are also exclusions for business-to-business transactions, which apply to self-employed individuals seeking professional development as well as to professional training programs.
Students who are dismissed for academic cause or misconduct are not entitled to any refund.
All additional fees applied in addition to standard tuition are non-refundable.
De-matriculation and re-matriculation
If you have not been in contact with your University Mentor for a period of 21 days or more during your program, and do not respond to email sent to your contact email address during that time, this will be taken as an indication of indifference and you will be de-matriculated. Re-matriculation at a later date is possible subject to payment of any outstanding fees and a re-matriculation fee of $150. Please do keep the University informed of your situation; we will try to help in the case of difficulty.
Official date of learner matriculation
The official date of learner matriculation is the date on which, fees and the signed acceptance of a program place having been received, formal acceptance is notified. We will send you a notification by email of your matriculation/acceptance.
University fees and financial policies
The University reserves the right to change fees and financial policies without notice. However, we are committed to the principle of not changing fees for students already enrolled on a program.
